Young Actor Headshots Session – Joel
Joel recently joined me in the Thornlands studio for a fun and creative actor headshots session, designed to capture a range of looks suitable for casting and performance opportunities.
For young actors, headshots need to show personality, versatility, and authenticity. During Joel’s session, we explored a variety of studio setups, including both clean, neutral backgrounds and more vibrant, colourful options to reflect different moods and character types.
The neutral setups kept the focus on Joel’s natural expression and gave us classic, casting-friendly portraits. We then switched things up with bold, colourful backgrounds to bring out a more playful and dynamic side—perfect for showcasing range in auditions and acting profiles.
This combination of simple and creative looks helps young performers build a strong, versatile portfolio of images that can be used across casting platforms, agencies, and personal branding.
